you may have a look to the netlabel Crazy Language.
there are 16 releases out where you may find something for a compilation. i can recommend you cl-007 va - crazy compilation #2 with following artists: integral, zainetica, ENV(itre) (also an EP), landau, rec_overflow (also an EP), madstyle, atmogat, dnn, somaticae, kero, huron (also LPs), phylum sinter, az-rotator, spenza (also an EP), ambitextrous, shinra, absent, FMcontrol, skndr, bromton's cocktail.

There's also no way around Wisp. 'laff' on "in a blue face" ; 'the knep (myself)' on "humpelndenbeats" to name just 2 out of a huge archive. Wisp's 'success' in style and recognition is inspiring various collectives! again, there's no 'evergreen' collection of netaudio idm that could come along without him.

i'm quite surprised no one has mentioned planet boelex! suunta (http://kahvi.org/152.php) and second thoughts (http://www.mono211.com/content/releases/mtkmp147.html) are both masterpieces of idm, imho

i mostly define music done by funkstörung, autechre and for example some aphex twin music (windowlicker) as IDM.

to me IDM sounds melodic, uses often heavy editing on beats, comes spherical. just listen the examples above and you get an idea!
